About the Workshop

This workshop offers a structured, practice-oriented introduction to the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the printing industry. Over the course of the programme, participants will develop a foundational understanding of AI concepts, machine learning techniques, and image processing methods, and explore their relevance across print production workflows. The programme covers key application areas such as prepress automation, digital printing and imaging, predictive maintenance, intelligent workflow management, and AI-driven color management. Participants will also gain hands-on exposure to practical AI tools for tasks such as defect detection, process optimization, and data-driven quality control. Through a balanced combination of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive sessions, the programme equips industry professionals, faculty, researchers, and students with the knowledge and practical skills required to integrate AI solutions into modern printing processes and research environments.
